The Importance Of Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is our way of dedicating a day for mothers all around the world. However, in reality, every day should be celebrated as Mother’s Day. You’ve probably read that very line multiple times before or at least heard it. But what’s true is true and it can’t be left out of my post. That being said, now that there is a day dedicated to moms, we must acknowledge it and do our best to show our love and appreciation.

The best gift you can give your mom is love & respect. It’s up to you how to show it. You could show it by being respectful & caring throughout the year or if that ship has already sailed, you can do it by way of gifting her something she cares about or has a soft spot for. Now that Valentine's day is done, I feel like venting. I don’t understand this sudden rise in posts talking about “unique” valentine’s day gifts. Some argue that being unique makes more of a statement. I agree, however, not in situations like this. People may act like they don’t care for traditions but believe me when I say, they do. Let me give you an example.

I’ve been with my girl for 3 years now. The first valentines I did nothing special… just a dinner. She was happy but not impressed. Next year I decided to up the game. This time however I chose to gift her a clutch because I read some silly article about “unique gifts”. She was happy & thankful, but I could tell something about this gift was amiss.
